Hi Jim,
I just wanted to thank you for this story with Mr. Cousins because it's from the owners prospective. I'm a Canadian and loved the Flames in Atlanta. I watched them from 14-22 years old. I type this now and 40 years have gone by. It was very saddening to see them leave as I loved the colors, the players, the city, and the rowdy crowds there(especially against the Flyers). The team and game was not the same after they left Atlanta as I lived in Edmonton and Calgary was the rivalling team.. I did follow Dan Bouchard's career and that was fun in Quebec. I was so happy to hear of the players living in the Atlanta area. That team was I believe only a few years away in the east of competing for the Cup. I'm always looking for Atlanta stories and the passing of Tom Lysiak in 2016 was sad. I wore that jersey the next day after he passed away. The away jerseys of Tom and Dan hang in my room as great days watching that team. For you Jim, I hope you can or will find this podcast from Tim Hanlon's Good Seats Still Available Episode 148. Best Wishes Leslie.

Hi Noel,

I remember seeing you play for the Flames! I am so happy you read the article and reached out. I wish the Flames were still here in Atlanta.

I hope you and your family are doing well and want to thank you for being a part of a special time in Atlanta sports history!

Take care.

I can only tell you from a former players perspective that my wife and I with our daughter and son absolutely loved the city of Atlanta and the people of Georgia. They took to us and the team. We still are in contact with friends we made there.
Cliff Fletcher was the best manager I ever played for and I cannot say enough good things about our coach Boom Boom Geoffrion. We had a great bunch of dedicated players and I was sorry to see the team move from this wonderful city.
